Health and Wellbeing
In general terms, health in Wiltshire compares well with other areas, but continuing work to maintain and improve health is vital to ensure future populations are given the best chances. Early intervention, particularly for those who are most in need and most vulnerable, is achieved by providing support and assistance as early as possible when people need it, whatever their life stage.
The following report reflects how the health and wellbeing of the people living in the county and how health inequalities vary across the county. Data on levels of vaccination, breastfeeding, childhood obesity, NHS Health Checks and mortality from a range of causes are included for local populations in all of our 20 community areas.
The data here is designed to help communities to understand local health and wellbeing issues and to develop community-led work to improve local outcomes. The report provides comparative analysis of a range of key indicators relating the health and wellbeing of people in Wiltshire and is intended as a resource to help identify local priorities at Community Area level.
