Understanding the size and structure of Wiltshire’s population is fundamental if the council and its partners are to have the ability to prioritise and deliver services efficiently.

Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning group has an estimated registered population of 490,018 (NHS Digital July 2018)

The population has risen by 4.7% since 2013 (NHS Digital)

Male life expectancy at birth is 82.1 years of age (Wiltshire Council 2014-16)

Female life expectancy at birth is 84.8 years of age (Wiltshire Council 2014-16)
