Life expectancy and causes of death

Understanding life expectancy and causes of death helps to determine what services are needed and the support that can be given to help residents live longer. By looking at preventable deaths, organisations will be able to identify areas of support, enabling earlier treatment so people can live longer healthier lives. This section of the JSNA contains analysis of a range of indicators including life expectancy, healthy life expectancy, mortality rates and the causes of deaths.
